Swedish genealogy week 13 – 20 June 2013

Spend a week in beautiful Dalsland, often called “Sweden in Miniature” researching your Swedish heritage!  Attend hands-on research Swedish genealogy classes where you will learn how to access key electronic Swedish resources such as the Swedish church books, census records, tax registers, probate records and many other key sources. Each day you will have time for independent research and professional Swedish genealogists will be available for individual assistance.

Dalsland is dotted with numerous lakes and forests stretching from the fertile Dalboslätten in the southeast to the northwest slopes of the Skogdal. The Dalsland Canal, one of Europe’s most beautiful waterways, runs though Dalsland.

More than fifty thousand persons immigrated from Dalsland to North America between 1860 and 1930. Today, the population is approximately 48,000. It is said that every family in Dalsland has a relative in North America.

Return to Sweden and discover your rich Swedish heritage researching your Swedish roots with professional Swedish genealogists at the historical and cultural jewel, Baldersnäs Mansion.
